Do you love magazines as much as I do?
I have stacks and stacks of magazines--all of them are decorating magazines. I just hate to throw them away, because of course, there is ONE idea I like in each magazine! So, essentially, I have thousands of unneeded pages in dozens of magazines that are lying around my home for no reason. I keep an entire magazine even though I might only like one or two pages in it.
So to clear up the clutter, I came up with this solution: use a 3-ring binder and sheet protectors to store individual magazine pages! Why didn't I think of this before?! I just categorized a notebook into sections: "kitchen," "crafts & projects," "recipes," etc., and put each individual page into its own sheet protector. So easy! Now my closet isn't overloaded with dozens of magazines, and the decorating ideas are all in one neat place!
I know--all of you use this system. If you do, don't tell me. Just ooh and aah over my home organization skills. ;)

Excellent idea! Last week (while icing and elevating) I had plenty of time to go through my many magazines. Out of a high stack I came out with a folder file filled with recipes, pictures, tutorials, etc. The magazines went with Rocky to be recycled. yes!
Yesterday I went through my quilting magazines. Kept one. Gave the rest to JanR, my trusty assistant at the school. She's a major quilter lady person. :o)
Yes this is a great idea, I have decorating idea binder like this with page protected ideas. But I'm still a magazine junkie and few weeks ago with a nugde from flylady I cleared an entire shelf in my office by throwing away magazines. YES, I tossed them, without looking through them! I just bit my lip and dropped them in the can. It hurt but I dont miss them.
