Apparently, I'm the only one on the face of the planet who has never been "introduced" to the phenomenon who is Beth Moore.
I've been invited to go with a friend to one of Moore's conferences in August. I'm not sure about leaving my teeny-tiny baby for several hours, but I'm not so sure about Beth Moore, either. I snooped around her site, but couldn't draw a good conclusion about her.
Anyone know anything about her? Love her? (Like everyone else seems to!) Tell me about it!

I've never heard of her either, so I can't help you :P There was a Christian women's conference at the arena here several weeks ago...I wonder if it was one of hers?
I'll email you the information I have. <><
Oh my goodness! I cannot BELIEVE you've never heard of her. She is phenomenal. She is an excellent Bible teacher that does extremely thorough research of greek and hebrew, while allowing laymen to join in on the depth. She's humble, down to earth, funny, and loves the Lord with all her heart. I strongly encourage you to try one of her studies. I have done "The Patriarchs" and "Living Beyond Yourself" which focuses on Gal. 3:15 (fruit). I've also read her book "When Godly People do Ungodly things." I think you'll like her a lot!
Her doctrinal stand on spirit regeneration is synergistic ~ click "Looking For Peace With God?" on lproof.org . Hope this helps you, Jordin.
Jordin, you may or may not decide to post this link to a blog discussion of Beth Moore. The intent isn't to ruffle feathers or have fur fly ~ just one of several similar type reads found through Google that may interet you.

I would not recommend attending one of her conference's. I contacted her church directly about her Bible studies. The answer was that it is co-ed and very popular. Scripture says in 1 Timothy 2:11-14, "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."
If her Bible studies/conferences was clearly "for women only", then maybe, but God's Word warns otherwise from what I can tell.

I agree with Anna. Beth Moore does have some awesome nuggets of truth, however she does teach to a mixed audience (women and men) and this just isn't scriptural.
pssst. you there? nesting? resting?
